All too often, this student is highly critical of her own work, and is often discouraged fairly early on – wanting to start again. I would not let her, but directed her to push through the problem with what she had, and try to make it work. There were some good elements she just couldn’t see. I think that was the right thing to do at that point, and I hope she was okay with her finished product. As for me, I am really liking those stacked circles at the bottom. The ghost of torn paper below them actually works!
